Punta Cana esta en Republica Dominicana, descubierta por Cristóbal Colon en 1942 y llamada "La Hispaniola" siendo el primer asentamiento Europeo en el Nuevo Mundo. Situada en el centro de las Antillas, entre Miami, Cancún, Puerto Rico y Cuba, en los 68o19´y 72o31´ Longitud Oeste y los 17o36´ 19o56´ Latitud Norte, compartiendo el territorio con Haití quien ocupa el 36% de la Isla, es la segunda isla más grande después de Cuba, colindante al Sur con el mar Caribe, al Norte con el Océano Atlántico y al Este con el Canal de La Mona, con un territorio total de 48,511 Kilómetros cuadrados y una pequeña población de Indios Tainos, Hoy en día son de mas de 9,219,800 de habitantes, hablando español y practicando la Religión Católica en su mayoría, siendo Santo Domingo la ciudad capital principal y la moneda el Peso Oro Dominicano que varía de 30 a 35 pesos por un dólar americano.
Punta Cana es la Región Este de la isla y es el destino turístico # 1 de la isla, donde grandes personalidades como Oscar de la Renta, Julio Iglesias, Shakira, Barishnikov, entre otros, han establecido casas de descanso y veraneo debido a sus excelentes playas con fina arena, altas palmeras, la alegría y servicialidad de sus habitantes.

Punta Cana is at Dominican Republic that was discovered by Cristopher Columbus in 1492 called then "La Hispaniola" as the first European Settelment at the New World. Situated at the center of the antilles, between Miami, Cancun, Puerto Rico & Cuba, at 68o19',72o31' West Longitude and 17o36',19o56' North Latitude, sharing territory with Haiti who's occupancie of the island is 34%. It is the second largest island on the caribbean just after Cuba, Bordering the caribbean sea at the South side, the atlantic ocean at North and the Mona chanel at East, with a total territory of 48,511 Square Km's and the small population of Taino Indians, become today more than 9,219,800 Habitants, speaking Spanish and practicing catholic religon the majority of them, with Santo Domingo as capital and main city, using currency called the Dominican Gold Peso, fluctuating between 30 and 35 per one us dollar.
